Focus Web Development is an intermediate web development course developed by the First Nations Technology Council using best practices in Indigenous and adult education.

About Focus Web Dev

This 6-week course is designed for students who have taken Foundations (or have equivalent digital skills) and are passionate about pursuing a career in web development.

What You Will Learn

The Focus Web Development course is an intermediate-level training program designed for Indigenous students who want to deepen their knowledge of web development using JavaScript.

Every week, students will build on their understanding of coding logic and best practices, including skills such as variables, conditionals, functions, arrays, loops, objects, and more. These daily hands-on activities will culminate into a full capstone project where students will demonstrate their skills by building a web application.
